Pick3 and Pick4 have winnable odds. They may not make you instant millionaires.

For Box play there are 220 sets of numbers, of these 120 would contain three different digits (012) and come up about seven out of ten drawings. 90 would contain two digits that are the same and one digit different (998) and come up about three out of ten drawings. 10 would contain all three digits the same (555) and come up perhaps once in a year. At 50 cents a play, 220 combinations would cost $110 and you would win only $40.
We can conclude that the best numbers to play are those with three different digits(507), as these are expected to be drawn about 70% of times.
TOOLS You can download a recent copy of your game's history from web site. Then you need to update it to the most recent drawing. Ask, where you buy your tickets. Most Lottery vendors have some information or know where to find it. If necessary, you can get by with only the last 25days winning numbers. Make a table in Excell. Alternatively you can make a table with pen and paper.
Now you can see that numbers with three different digits are drawn most of the time. Also notice that one of the three digits is from previous days draw.
One of the three digits from day before yesterdays drawing will be drawn again in today's drawing about 25% of times. Also notice that 10% times two of the three digits from previous drawing will be drawn again.
Now you will notice that some digits are drawn repeatedly during the last few days. These are called HOT digits in lottery, are hitting NOW. It is best to play these HOT digits.
